When 2", 4", and 6" planks do not reach across the space in one piece, use a splice plate to join and align adjacent planks. Install planks so the factory ends are at the splice location and assure the joint is tight. Install the splice by sliding it into the end of the first installed plank. Once the adjacent plank is installed, slide the splice so it is split evenly between the two planks.
